The Montessori Alzheimer’s Project will be teaching its second workshop at Loyola University Maryland’s Aspire online continuing education.
Our upcoming workshop is directed to professionals providing caregiving in private homes. It is focused on setting the proper ground for entering the privacy of a family dealing with dementia, and providing training in how to introduce Montessori methods to the home environment for the benefit of the individual with dementia as well as their primary family caregivers.
The program will include 2 sessions, spaced one week apart on February 5 and 12, 2025. You can register at: https://aspire.loyola.edu/montessori-alzheimers-project
Please consider distributing this information to your professional home caregiving teams. We will provide them with insights, tools and paths to support and refine their caregiving skills.
Continuing education credits are available through Loyola University.
Our first workshop introducing Montessori principles to dementia care was directed to family caregivers. It is available online at https://aspire.loyola.edu/products/2981277537?
We look forward to supporting your efforts on behalf of the dementia community through our programs.
Best wishes,
Lyle Weinstein and Greg Macdonald
